As the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) gets set for its awards gala in Sydney on Thursday, the Insurance Brokers Association of New Zealand (IBANZ) is inviting nominations for its own awards.

The NZ awards, which enjoy strong industry support, were set up two years ago to ensure the local industry recognises its own achievers.

The categories are for broker of the year, insurer, investigator, young professionals in broking, insurance and loss adjusting, best innovation and best support service. The Insurer of the Year is selected from the results of the annual IBANZ survey.

Nominations and supporting documentation will close on August 29, with the presentation gala dinner being held in Auckland on October 30.
