Hollard Australia top dog in pet insurance lines
Hollard Australia has cleaned up in a consumer analysis of pet insurance products. Consumer organisation Choice surveyed five categories of cover with 14 Hollard-underwritten products among the 16 judged as the best available.
Petplan Australia products rounded out the list.
The study of 63 policies from three underwriters found premiums ranging from $113 to $614 for dogs and $101 to $554 for cats, with annual benefit limits ranging from $2800 to $18,000.
Choice says less than 2% of Australia’s estimated 6.2 million cats and dogs are insured.
