Heavy motor product upgraded

National Transport Insurance (NTI) has automated its heavy motor product NTI Express, offering brokers faster and more convenient access to Sunrise Exchange.

The upgrade means intermediaries with access to the product can now benefit from an instant response to all transactions while any manually referred risks are subject to the insurer’s two-hour turnaround guarantee.

National Manager for Intermediary Business Bryce Hatton says the changes are the “next step” in NTI providing faster service and more accessible heavy motor insurance products to brokers.

“We have closely monitored our service response timeframes on NTI products on Sunrise Exchange to date, and we’re now processing 97.6% of eligible quotes within 30 seconds.”

Sunrise Exchange GM Insurance Business Lisa Woodley says the transition has been trouble-free.

“The upgrade was in line with the original plan and it has been a smooth transition,” she said. “This has improved the turnaround time for brokers requesting placements, endorsements and renewals.”

NTI Express provides heavy motor vehicle insurance quotes for up to 10 vehicles via Sunrise Exchange, with plans currently under way to expand the product range to include liability and road freight insurance. It is currently the only heavy motor product available on Sunrise Exchange.
