Harry Dickinson dead at 90

Interruption Underwriting Agencies (IUA) founder Harry Dickinson Snr died at the weekend. He was 90 years old.

Mr Dickinson, who was actively working in the company until recently, devised the simplified business interruption product that IUA still sells. He set up the company in 1987, at the age of 70.

MD Leo Quoyle says Mr Dickinson worked in the insurance industry for his entire career. “His energy and interest was always amazing,” he said. “He’ll be sorely missed.”

Mr Dickinson is survived by his wife Margaret and son Harry Jnr, who is Chairman of IUA.
