Harmer takes up key Lloyd’s role
Former Aon Australia CEO Peter Harmer has wasted little time in making his mark in the London market. The CEO of Aon UK was last week named as the new Chairman of the London Market Reform Group.
The role, described by Lloyd’s CEO Richard Ward as one that’s “key to the success of Lloyd’s and London as a whole”, comes just 15 months after Mr Harmer was posted from Sydney to London.
“It’s a vital opportunity to shape London’s future role in the global insurance market,” he said in a statement. “We can build on the substantial track record [the Market Reform Group] has for delivering change to ensure London remains the market of choice.”
The reform group plays a key decision-making role in moving Lloyd’s relatively quickly into a paperless and more efficient future.
