Former senior public servant John Hanks will represent the interests of NIBA on a new implementation consultative committee formed by Financial Services and Regulation Minister Joe Hockey to discuss the FSRB regulations. Mr Hanks, a former Deputy Commissioner at the old Insurance and Superannuation Commission, now has his own Canberra-based consultancy. NIBA board member David Squire will represent the National Australia Group on the committee, and ICA Technical Services chief Robert Drummond will represent underwriters.
