Brokers have answered the call to the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) silver anniversary bash.

Next weekend more than 900 industry professionals will return to Conrad Jupiters at Broadbeach in Queensland, a favourite haunt for NIBA conventions.

NIBA CEO Noel Pettersen says he is pleased with delegate numbers.

"Broker numbers are up by 35% and young professionals are up by 100%. All on-site accommodation has been fully booked for some time now."

Mr Pettersen is confident the convention - which features industry heavyweights Frank O'Halloran of QBE and Joe Plumeri of Willis, among many others - will be a resounding success.

"There's a very good vibe out there. People are very keen to celebrate the 25th anniversary."

Mr Pettersen says some industry veterans have been to every single conference since 1982.
