Gisborne quake claims completed
NZ experts have completed processing claims resulting from the earthquake that shook the city of Gisborne on December 20 last year.
The Earthquake Commission (EQC) has processed 6200 claims since the magnitude 6.8 quake – the largest number of insurance claims it has handled in 20 years.
The EQC is finally moving on after setting up shop in Gisborne after the earthquake.
The total amount claims payout is expected to reach $NZ25 million ($20 million).
