FPA policy executive shifts to ICA
Financial Planning Association (FPA) Policy and Government Manager John Anning has resigned to become GM Policy, Regulation Directorate, with the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA).
An ICA spokesman told Sunrise Exchange News Mr Anning will replace Carolyn Connor in early April.
Mr Anning has spent more than two years at the FPA and has been heavily involved in financial services reform, superannuation policy, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism funding.
One of the few senior executives to remain after Kerrie Kelly moved over from the FPA to become ICA CEO last year, Ms Connor has managed the policy team and the development of industry positions on regulatory and policy issues. An experienced policy operator, she joined ICA in 2004 as Executive Manager of Policy Development and Research.
