EQC restructures to improve claims
New Zealand’s Earthquake Commission (EQC) has made changes to its leadership and organisational structures, to improve the claims process.
It has set up the Canterbury Business Unit to provide a single point for customer service, and appointed two deputies to assist CEO Sid Miller.
Deputy CEOs Paul Jepson and Renee Walker will bring closer co-ordination to the work undertaken by EQC’s business teams.
“This is an important part of a broader transformation process to refocus our strategy and structure to improve the end-to-end experience for our customers and improve performance in settling Canterbury claims, and allows EQC to adapt to changes in the wider insurance sector,” Mr Miller said.
