Elders pulls out of Steadfast
Yet another insurer has pulled out of an underwriting arrangement with a cluster group. The latest to go is Elders, which has abandoned a joint venture with the Steadfast group. In a letter to Steadfast brokers, Elders GM Operations Dan de Jager said access to the company’s IT system has been terminated.
The departure of Elders hasn’t worried the alliance group, whose CEO John Phillips said Australian Unity will replace Elders as a “partner insurer” for its commercial insurance pack.
