Defence Service Homes Insurance Scheme continues industry partner search

An Australian Government insurer is encouraging applications from potential industry partners to work on critical future projects.

The Defence Service Homes Insurance Scheme (DSH Insurance) is seeking partnership opportunities to collaborate on software solutions and management and administration services.

DSH Insurance provides comprehensive home building insurance and other insurance services to members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF), ex-service members and their families.

It is self-funded through premium, investment and commission income and has not required Government funding since its inception in 1919.

In 2020, the Federal Government expanded eligibility criteria to enable 300,000 additional ADF and ex-service members to access DSH Insurance cover, creating an opportunity to extend the market base.

Potential partners have until April 1 2022 to tender for the opportunity, details of which can be found  here.
