Claims are slowly building in the wake of Cyclone Ului, which tore through the Whitsundays and Queensland central coast earlier this month.

Suncorp says it is still counting the cost of about 2500 claims that followed the category three cyclone.

Customers of Allianz Australia and pleasurecraft subsidiary Club Marine have submitted about 260 claims with insured losses around $3.5 million.
