The trial of a married couple accused of defrauding Dual Australia of $17 million between 2011 and 2013 was due to begin in Melbourne today.

Former Dual national claims manager Josie Gonzalez and her husband Alvaro Gonzalez had previously denied charges relating to the allegations.

The couple were listed to appear today for criminal trial at the County Court of Victoria before Judge Paul Lacava.
