Cooper loses bid to get his passport back
There’ll be no overseas vacations or business trips for Brad Cooper – well, not in the short term anyway.
The HIH associate recently lost a legal bid to regain his passport while on bail for alleged corrupt payments before the insurer’s $5.3 billion collapse.
Mr Cooper was granted bail in December, soon after being charged with six counts of corrupt behaviour for allegedly bribing former HIH executive Bill Howard.
Mr Cooper told the court he wants his passport so he can go on overseas business trips. A Sydney magistrate said no.
