CGU chief puts the I in ANZIIF
The industry needs to do more to attract new talent, says new Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) President Duncan West.
Mr West, the CEO of Melbourne-based CGU, was elected President at the ANZIIF AGM on Friday. GAB Robins National Executive Adjuster Tony Morgan is the new Deputy President.
“I look forward to working with our members to enhance the professionalism and public standing of the insurance industry,” Mr West said.
Calling on the industry to do more to attract new talent, Mr West said the insurance sector offers a breadth of rewarding careers.
“Collectively we need to do more to raise awareness of the opportunities the industry has to offer.”
Former president John Richardson will continue to serve the board as Immediate Past President.
