Catastrophe claims figures revised
The Insurance Council of Australia has revised its claims figures on flood and storm damage in Queensland and NSW, and the Tasmanian bushfire.
In Queensland, flood and storm damage is now responsible for 59,010 claims worth $661.3 million.
This is up on figures released earlier this month, which put the claims figure at 53,711 costing $553 million.
NSW flood and storm damage was estimated at 8000 claims and $20 million in insurance losses, but has now been revised up to 10,183 claims, with a sharp increase in insurance losses to $71.8 million.
Earlier this month the Tasmanian bushfire was estimated at 1900 claims and $89 million in insurance losses. That figure has been revised down to 1785 claims worth $87.1 million.
