Southern Cross Travel Insurance and InsureandGo have shared this year’s Canstar “outstanding value” award in the international travel insurance category.

The domestic travel insurance award is shared by Downunder Insurance Services and IAG brands SGIO, SGIC and NRMA Insurance.

Canstar assessed 229 products from 73 insurers to determine this year’s winners.

Southern Cross and InsureandGo also shared the international prize last year. It is the sixth time Southern Cross has picked up the annual award.

Canstar notes SGIO, SGIC and NRMA Insurance offer “the exact same policy”.

“All providers of international and domestic travel insurance proved their commitment to travellers by providing all the features wanted by the different travel markets at the sharpest premium prices possible,” Canstar says.
