WA brokers have been reassured their role in the state’s workers’ compensation system is safe.

The new ALP Government’s Minister for Industrial Relations, John Kobelke, told a meeting of about 120 NIBA members in Perth that he “acknowledges the importance of brokers providing value-added services”.

The message was a welcome one for WA brokers, who faced pressure from the former Court coalition government to prove they really do bring value to the workers’ comp system.
