Breakfast briefings back

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) will hold a series of “breakfast briefings” next month for members and non-member intermediaries. Following on from the successful Business Breakfast Briefings held last year with brokers and their clients, the program this year will focus on the issues at the heart of the industry.

CEO Noel Pettersen said research showed that brokers are beginning to enjoy a resurgence of influence in the market, “and these sessions will help in pinpointing the exact issues brokers should be discussing”.

New NIBA President Frank Earl will join Mr Pettersen in the national tour, giving members the opportunity to meet him.

The seminars will cover key issues including the FSRA transition deadline, terrorism insurance, industry image, taxation and fire services levies and the HIH fallout. The tour will begin in Hobart on March 13 and continue on through Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, and will conclude in Sydney on March 21.
