Tornadoes are causing insurers around the world some real concerns (see International News). The Victorian regional centre of Bendigo was hit by one last week, and local insurers have already received more than 200 claims worth $1.4 million. They include damage to 172 houses, 23 commercial properties, seven farms and 20 cars. More claims are expected.
