ANZIIF takes top education award

The Australia and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) has taken the Education Provider of the Year award for insurance services at the Financial Services Education Agency Australia (FSEAA) Quality Education Awards.

The National Insurance Brokers Associaiton (NIBA) also did well in the awards, winning accolades for innovation, leadership and excellence.

The FSEAA says the awards highlight education and association behaviour that champions professionalism in industry as well as showcasing business, training organisations and individuals committed to fostering experienced and new professionals.

The winners: Excellence in Education for Financial Services – Higher Education, Financial Services Institute of Australasia; Innovation and Leadership in Professionalism – Association, NIBA; Education Provider of the Year – Insurance Services, ANZIIF; Education Provider of the Year – Retail Financial Services, Tribeca; Most Innovative Use of Technology in Education, AMP Corporate Superannuation; Excellence in Education – Continuing Professional Development, Tribeca; and Excellence in Education – Vocational Education and Training, NIBA.

ANZIIF CEO Joan Fitzpatrick says the award is greatly appreciated. “It’s particularly welcome because we know we have been judged by our education peers.”

NIBA Professional Development Executive Linda Evans told Sunrise Exchange News she is delighted to receive two awards. She says NIBA has worked hard to implement a comprehensive range of courses from entry level through to senior management.
