Allianz joins VECCI Workcover arrangement
The Victorian Employers’ Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VECCI) has appointed Allianz to manage its workers’ compensation scheme in a bid to improve WorkCover affordability and service.
VECCI CEO Neil Coulson says the cost of workers’ comp is rated among the top two issues facing Victorian businesses. A VECCI survey says almost 74% of businesses listed WorkCover premiums as the most important issue facing businesses.
In response it’s launched a new workers’ comp program Business Cover Plus, which is specifically designed for SMEs and VECCI members across 13 industry groups and local government. Allianz will hold the contract for three years.
VECCI says new benefits of the scheme include lower costs, the option of monthly payments of premiums, improved customer service, and proactive eduction and training on occupational health and safety issues.
