AICLA brings in a sea change
For two days this week, claims experts will gather in Sydney for the 2005 Australasian Claims Convention.
The convention involves a series of information sessions and networking opportunities for members of the Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters and the Institute of Claims Technicians along with insurance company claims specialists, brokers, risk managers and lawyers.
Programs, panels and workshop sessions will cover a range of issues from practical steps for business interruption loss mitigation to current affairs such as tsunamis and terrorism.
A highlight is expected to be the insurance CEO panel moderated by Phillips Fox partner Michael Gill, and including CEOs from Suncorp, QBE, Freemans and Crawford & Co.
The event takes place from May 4 to 6 in the seaside suburb of Manly, and takes the apt theme of “A Sea Change for the Claims Industry”.
