The Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA)  says it has appointed David Short as Ombudsman in its Insurance team.

Mr  Short  will be based in  the  Sydney  office  and starts at the end of August,  joining  from business insurance service provider  BizCover, where he has been Head of Legal, Risk and Compliance since December 2018.

Internally AFCA says it has promoted  Qasim Gilani to Ombudsman in Insurance and appointed  Christine McCarthy  as Ombudsman in Insurance.  Additionally  Daniel King has been promoted to an Adjudicator role in Insurance.
