And now to the horoscopes… AAMI has found moody Cancerians, unpredictable Aquarians and fatalistic Capricorns are more likely to crash their cars than other astrological star signs.
There is a little science involved – the insurer found this out by reviewing more than 200,000 claims lodged in 2007 and checking them against the drivers’ dates of birth.
AAMI spokesman Geoff Hughes says Librans and Virgos have the lowest claims incidence rate (14.9), “which makes them a safer risk from an insurance perspective”.
The most highly regarded star signs – from a car insurer’s perspective – are Virgos, who are “meticulous and reliable”, and Librans who are “diplomatic and urbane”.
The analysis also found Cancerian and Piscean women and Capricorn men had the highest incidence rates, compared with Libran women and Virgo men who had the lowest.
