Zurich Life & Investments has promoted chief underwriting officer Phil Anderson to COO.

He will take charge of life and investments customer care, including claims and underwriting, and will oversee Zurich’s IT functions in the life division.

Life & Investments CEO Colin Morgan says as chief underwriter Mr Anderson was “instrumental in turning our national underwriting team into one of the most highly respected and award-winning teams in the industry”.

Mr Anderson joined the Australian business 18 months ago from Zurich’s team in Hong Kong, where he was head of protection for the Asia-Pacific and Middle East life division.
