Zurich launches app to help financial literacy

Zurich Financial Services Australia has launched a new tablet app to engage consumers when they meet their advisers.

The Zurich Adviser Flipchart app was launched after the company’s research found a significant gap in consumers’ understanding of life insurance.

The insurer then conducted research into effective learning styles to help consumers learn at their own pace.

Zurich Head of Sales Strategies and Research Andy Marshall says the app was commissioned after recognising the pivotal role advisers have in improving financial literacy.

“Different learning styles respond to different modes of communication and this is reflected in a design,” he said.

“By improving the extent to which customers understand the advice they are been given, they are more likely to appreciate the value of that advice and the value of the solutions recommended.”

The app will work across all platforms including iOS and Android, and it can be customised to reflect the brand identity of the adviser.
