Young advisers urged to think for themselves
Synchron is running a series of national workshops encouraging young advisers to consider the issues affecting their profession.
The sessions will allow advisers to raise concerns and question the dealer group’s state managers and directors on regulation, processes and general practice.
The workshops show the dealer group’s commitment to training a new generation of financial advisers, according to Synchron director Don Trapnell.
“I attend the mentoring sessions myself and we encourage young advisers to voice their opinions on the industry,” he said.
“It is important for them to know they can and should express their opinions on issues that affect them and stick up for what they believe in.”
This approach will also be a feature of the dealer group’s NextGen conference on the Gold Coast in August.
“NextGen places advisers in an environment that challenges them physically and mentally, motivating them to challenge themselves both personally and professionally,” Mr Trapnell said.
