Synchron’s latest NextGen conference will focus on soft skills, according to Program Chairman Michael Harrison.

“This will include how to understand clients, build better relationships and anticipate client needs as their circumstances change,” he said.

“Many of our younger advisers have considerable technical expertise, but some don’t know how to apply these skills to a client’s specific needs.”

Conference attendees will learn how to interpret client requirements and offer professional guidance and support, Mr Harrison says.

“This will also lead to conversations about how to look for new clients and… generate referrals.”

Award-winning social entrepreneur Holly Ransom will be keynote speaker at the event in August.

The 23-year-old was chosen because of her outstanding achievements at an early age, Mr Harrison says.
