Tower Australia has promoted its head of the group life business, Andrew Boldeman, to CEO of the division.

Mr Boldeman has been head of group life since 2007, but will now join the Tower senior executive team reporting to MD Jim Minto.

The role was previously held by Geoff Black, who was in charge of both the life and investment businesses at Tower.

He will now focus purely on the investment side of the business as part of a move to simplify the senior management structure.

Mr Minto says appointing a CEO dedicated to group life reflects the company’s commitment to building the life insurance in superannuation business.
