TAL has been named the Association of Financial Advisers’ life company of the year for the fourth time in a row, beating AIA Australia, MLC Life Insurance and NEOS.

TAL also took out top honours in the term life and total and permanent disability category, while AIA Australia triumphed in service quality and MLC in trauma & critical illness and income protection.

In the risk product innovation category, MetLife won in adviser support while NEOS won for underwriting, as well as taking out team of the year in both underwriting and business support.

OnePath was crowned claims team of the year.

Challenger was named annuity provider of the year and won the long-term income stream category, while AIA Comminsure won the short-term category as well as the investment bond honour.
