Life insurer TAL is waiving premium payments for up to two months to help customers affected by the Queensland floods and Tasmania bushfires.

Premiums due this month will be scrapped and eligible clients can apply for the exemption until March 31.

The assistance is available to policyholders who bought cover direct from TAL or through a financial adviser.

Customers of TAL’s Insuranceline and Alliance partner products can also qualify.

“This assistance package will ensure our customers and their families can have some relief by maintaining the life insurance cover they need,” Chief Customer and Brand Officer Alex Homer said.
