TAL unveils 2022 Risk Academy program
TAL has launched this year’s prospectus for TAL Risk Academy, its adviser education program.
Now in its eighth year, the program offers more than 80 on-demand courses, mostly free of charge. New this year are Income Protection and Ethics courses, the new Professional Year program and an expanded library of CPD-accredited articles.
TAL GM Retail Distribution Individual Life Niall McConville says the 2022 program is designed to provide an even greater range of virtual, on-demand and face-to-face courses, from entry-level foundation courses for those new to advice, through to advanced, technical topics for more experienced advisers.
"We’re really proud to continue offering and evolving the TAL Risk Academy with flexible courses that are aligned to advisers’ current education needs,” he said. "We’ll be adding even more courses through the year.”
The TAL Risk Academy courses are grouped into advice skills and training, business management, education and professionalism and professional year, which is designed for new entrants to build knowledge and key skills from risk advice to client conversations and exam preparation.
Since the launch of TAL Risk Academy in 2015, TAL has provided more than 85,000 CPD hours and over 13,500 advisers have registered, and it has donated more than $750,000 to the Australian Business Community Network (ABCN) to help Australians from lower socio-economic backgrounds access quality education.
