TAL has appointed Naomi Edwards to its board as an independent Non-Executive Director.   

Ms Edwards, who is the Actuaries Institute Australia 2023 president-elect, will serve as part of the life insurer’s Audit Committee and Risk Committee.   

She holds over 35 years of life insurance and superannuation sector experience, having worked in Australia, the UK and New Zealand.  

Ms Edwards previously served as Chair of Spirit Super for 12 years, where she headed notable merger activity and transformation of the organisation. She also was a Deloitte Partner and currently operates in several other non-executive director roles.  

“I have followed TAL’s journey and admired its culture and corporate values and am delighted to be joining the board. I look forward to working with the board and the executive team led by CEO Brett Clark,” Ms Edwards said.
