TAL earns recognition for workplace equality efforts

TAL has been named Employer of Choice for Gender Equality in recognition of its efforts to advance workplace parity.

The certification from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) is awarded following a rigorous application process with a range of stretch criteria, measuring the actions organisations are taking to advance gender equality outcomes for their employees.

Actions taken by TAL include flexible working options for all employees, offering domestic violence leave, training and support as well as maintaining a focus on gender equality through an active employee action group.

TAL Group CEO & MD Brett Clark says the insurer is committed to promoting gender equality and helping all employees feel inspired, confident, and cared for.

“At TAL we value fairness and equality in all its forms, and this recognition is central to what it means to work at TAL,” Mr Clark said.

He says the insurer’s diversity and inclusion strategy is focused on ensuring all employees, regardless of gender, are treated equally, can perform their roles to the best of their abilities and have the same opportunities for personal growth and advancement.

“We have a responsibility to advance gender equality in the workplace for our people, our industry, the customers we serve today and those we will serve tomorrow,” he said.

TAL says this is the eighth straight year that it has been name Employer of Choice for Gender Equality.
