Life insurer TAL says Mark Joiner has been appointed as Chairman, following the retirement of Duncan Boyle who occupied the role for eight years.

Mr Joiner, who is QBE Australia Pacific Operations Board Chairman, took up the TAL appointment this month. He had joined the TAL board as an independent non-executive director last month.

He is also independent Chairman of digital property exchange platform PEXA and an independent non-executive director of Latitude Financial Services.
