Synchron Director Don Trapnell will take over as Chairman from Michael Harrison, who is retiring after 15 years with the business.

Mr Harrison began working with Synchron in 2007 as a business strategy and marketing consultant and was later appointed as Chairman in 2011.

WT Financial Group, which announced in March it was acquiring Synchron, thanked Mr Harrison for his contribution to the business and to the wider financial services industry.

“He joined Synchron at a pivotal time in its history, helping reinvent the company to become more attractive to younger advisers, while also remaining a preferred licensee for its traditional adviser base,” WT Financial Group MD Keith Cullen said.

“His contribution to Synchron, and to the industry, cannot be overstated.”
