Brady & Associates Financial Advisers financial planner Susan Buda has won the Gwen Fletcher Memorial award.

The Financial Planning Association (FPA) says the Sydney-based planner is the year’s second winner of the prize, which recognises the highest performing student in the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Certification Unit for each semester.

In February the FPA announced Melbourne-based Renato Manias won the award.

The award is named after the late Gwen Fletcher to honour her commitment to improving education among financial advisers and bringing the CFP program to Australia.

FPA CEO Dante De Gori says the CFP certification program equips financial planner practitioners with the skills to deliver the highest quality of advice to Australian consumers.

“I would like to congratulate [Ms Buda] on her achievement and to formally recognise her ongoing commitment to Gwen’s legacy of improving the financial planning profession through education and higher professional standards,” he said.
