Super fund REST creates customer service, advice roles
REST Industry Super has appointed Beth Parkin as GM Customer Service and Deborah Potts as National Manager Advice, both newly created roles.
Ms Parkin will manage the operations services, insurance and technical teams.
She will also work closely with REST’s service providers, Australian Administration Services and AIA Australia.
Ms Parkin was previously EGM customer service at The Travel Corporation Australia and has held senior customer service roles in the telecoms, digital and hospitality industries.
Ms Potts will lead the development of REST’s advice services, aiming to achieve greater uptake of financial advice among fund members.
She has been working as a consultant at REST since October last year, having previously held senior roles at Ipac Financial Services and BT Financial Group.
REST CEO Damian Hill says Ms Potts will be responsible for establishing the fund’s advice team and implementing the advice strategy.
“This is a new function that will significantly benefit our members,” he said.
