Super CEO resigns
The head of Australia’s superannuation lobby group, Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) CEO Philippa Smith, has resigned.
After nine years as CEO, she announced last week she will leave the group mid-year in search of new challenges.
She is the second highly placed member to resign from ASFA this month, following the resignation of Michaela Anderson as Policy and Research Director.
Ms Smith says it is the right time to move on. “I am immensely proud of what I and the team at ASFA have achieved in the past nine years, both in terms of influencing superannuation policy and raising Australians’ awareness of retirement savings issues.”
ASFA is understood to be already headhunting a replacement.
