Storm Financial’s book of clients sold
Financial planning group Financial Index Australia has bought the remainder of collapsed Queensland advisory firm Storm Financial’s client book.
The sale of the book of more than 10,000 clients from liquidators KordaMentha means Financial Index will be able to service the remaining 4000 Storm clients.
Financial Index CEO Spiro Paule told insuranceNEWS.com.au the company is ready to help people who have been in limbo for many months.
“I suspect these people have been badly treated so we’re prepared to do whatever we can to win their loyalty and trust,” Mr Paule said.
“A list of 4000 is a long way short of that initial list. We’re not sure what happened to the others – whether they’ve gone elsewhere or dropped out of the system. I suspect a bit of both.”
