Sinodinos to speak at AFA conference

Arthur Sinodinos will make his first official address to the industry as Assistant Treasurer at the Association of Financial Advisers’ National Conference next weekend.

It follows an appearance at last year’s event, when he discussed the Coalition’s plans to cut $1 billion of red tape if elected.

Association CEO Brad Fox says Senator Sinodinos has a strong understanding of the financial services industry.

“We are pleased to provide the Assistant Treasurer with a platform to outline the Coalition’s strategic plan for improving access to and affordability of financial advice for everyday Australians,” he said.

“Affordability and access are critical to the financial wellbeing of our members’ clients.”

The four-day conference will feature 12 plenary sessions, 39 stream and masterclass sessions and 90 speakers, including Twitter co-creator Dom Sagolla, business author Ron Kaufman and Yellow Brick Road Wealth Management Executive Chairman Mark Bouris.

It will be held from Saturday at the RACV Royal Pines Resort, Gold Coast.
