RGA Reinsurance Company of Australia, the local subsidiary of Reinsurance Group of America, has appointed Mark Stewart as its new local MD, effective immediately.

Mr Stewart has been interim MD since November last year, when Pauline Blight-Johnston resigned to join AMP as Director Wealth Protection and Mature Products.

Prior to this appointment, Mr Stewart was the company’s CFO and Appointed Actuary.

He has nearly 20 years’ experience in the Australian and New Zealand insurance markets and was recently appointed to the Life Board Committee of the Financial Services Council.
