People living in regional Australia need sound financial advice and services just as much as their urban counterparts, Deputy PM John Anderson said last week when he launched a new joint venture between financial adviser Chris Kopittke and Zurich Regional Financial Services (RFS). But Mr Anderson said “an enormous amount” of opportunities are starting to emerge in the rural areas.

Brisbane-based Mr Kopittke said RFS will initially service clients in northern NSW and Queensland before going national. He intends to recruit advisers from the pool of advisers, accountants, producer organisations and agricultural consultants already based in regional Australia.
