Rantall to vacate top job at FPA
Long-serving Financial Planning Association (FPA) CEO Mark Rantall will leave in February, to be replaced by GM Policy and Conduct Dante De Gori.
Mr Rantall has been CEO for five years, following a 20-year career in the private sector including senior roles at NAB, Godfrey Pembroke, Stockford and Sealcorp.
FPA Chairman Neil Kendall says Mr Rantall has advanced the cause of professionalism through a period of significant change.
“In five years he has led a team that effectively transformed the FPA into the leading professional body it is today,” Mr Kendall said.
“The board recognised Mr Rantall’s achievements… with the award of life membership of the FPA.”
Mr Rantall will remain on the FPA board as a non-executive director.
Mr Kendall says Mr De Gori was chosen, following a rigorous executive search, because he has the right blend of expertise, experience and passion to lead the FPA.
“Mr De Gori has a deep understanding of the FPA, our policies, government and industry relationships and our members,” Mr Kendall said. “He shares the board’s mission to build the profession of financial planning and we are well advanced on this journey, with strong government support.
“The next step is the delivery and implementation of legislative changes, the continued growth in professionalism and continuing to build trust with consumers.”
