Promina, Vero, and now – Asteron

Promina’s Royal & SunAlliance Financial Services has changed the name of its Australian and NZ operations to Asteron.

The new name, which will come into effect on July 1, includes the businesses of Royal & SunAlliance Financial Services, LifeRisk Insurance, Connelly Temple and Optimum in Australia and Royal & SunAlliance Life and Investments and Guardian Trust in NZ.

Asteron CEO Dennis Fox says the new name originates from the word ‘astron,’ which is the Greek word for star. The name is designed to reflect a “modern, dynamic financial services organisation which is committed to providing security to its clients”, he said.

“It’s business as usual as far as our customers are concerned, and our commitment to delivering the best services to our intermediaries and clients remains as strong as ever,” he said.
