PPS Mutual has appointed actuarial expert Anthony Asher to its board of directors.

Dr Asher has held specialty roles at Hollard, Deloitte, the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority and Prudential Assurance of South Africa across his 40-year career.

He will continue working as an associate professor at the University of NSW Business School, where he has been for more than 13 years, and maintain responsibilities as a director at non-profit organisation Fresh Hope Communities.

PPS Mutual CEO Michael Pillemer says the company looks forward to working with Dr Asher and utilising his “wealth of experience” in meeting strategic goals.
