Planners promise to lift their game
The Financial Planning Association (FPA) has launched an “ambitious” national campaign to raise the bar on Australian planners’ professional standards after the recent disastrous survey findings.
Dubbed the “Professional Partner Campaign”, the strategy will target key disclosure, professionalism, advice, Financial Services Reform Act transition and consumer issues.
FPA CEO Ken Breakspear says the campaign will focus on issues impacting on financial planners’ professional standards. The main goal of the campaign is to give Australian consumers confidence in the quality of advice they receive from financial planners.
“We believe that the program will lead to more productive relationships and greater consumer – and practitioner – satisfaction,” Mr Breakspear said. “That’s our promise.”
