The Financial Planning Association (FPA) has announced Jessica Dean of Perth-based Globe Financial Planning as recipient of the Gwen Fletcher Memorial Award for the 2022 summer semester.

Ms Dean is a financial adviser at the advisory practice and she completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce at the University of Western Australia in 2015. In 2021 she completed a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning at Kaplan Professional.

The award is named after the late Gwen Fletcher to honour her commitment to improving education among financial advisers and bringing the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) program to Australia.

Ms Dean says she likes how the CFP Certification Program is built around complex problem solving, and that “you had to bring together all your experience and everything you’ve learnt and apply it to different situations”.
